Just bought a 5th wheel and new to the RV world. I was wondering if I could have some advise on how ambitious we should be and what to expect on our first trip.

Congrats! I'm sure you will enjoy your new toy. My only recommendation is that you become comfortable towing your trailer, know how to back it up and know how wide of a turn you must make to maneuver. For your first trip, pick somewhere close to home so if you need something you forgot you won't have to go far to retrieve it.

Enjoy, and don't forget to write a review of you stay.

Well done Terry! My reply was very terse simply because my short stubby fingers don't do well until I have had at least one cup of joe plus the wifi signal I'm picking out here in the boonies of Yuma is faint in the mornings for some reason. Your reply covers so much more than my basic. It's a good thing you are around to cover our butts!! :)

once you get the feel for it and learn how to relax when you drive will tell you how far you can comfortably go , i drive for a living , race cars and have quads and boats and motorcycles kind of says i enjoy driving , i drive very fast cars , play around on quads and leasurely drive everything else , look for my motorhome sticker that says , "It is not a RACE until I get there" Take your time and enjoy what you see , when you see it
