I just wanted to post a forum that I think would be fun....

wondering about weird places, architecture, restaurants- anything- that people have seen in their journeys...
post pictures, tell stories, have fun...

Boy, that is a big question. I hope the most interesting places are yet to come. I have Rv'ed in 39 states and there isn't one that I couldn't go back to and spend a few weeks. The Sea Lion Cave along the OR coast was one of the neates places we have seen, but I hate to narrow it down. The Ghila Cliff dwellings would be right up there also.

    Newark, OHio
On Route 161 east of Newark, OH is the Longabarger Basket building. Amazing!! Shaped like a huge picnic basket. [attachmentid=173]

WHen I was in my 20's, there was a gas station in Seattle that was shaped like a hat and boots. Apparently, it's now a "landmark" and some web site indicates someone is trying to restore it.

Then there is the "Big Chicken" in Marietta, GA (I lived there for 13 years...)

Hi...Here is a website that dedicates itself to different and unusual items.
    http://www.waymarking.com/

    Cool website Pianotuna!
Been enjoying the 'featured' waymarks photos. So what are the chances you may be 'northern penquin' ? :p
    Cheers!

Oh yeah! Up Interstate 85 in South Carolina, near Gaffney, is a water tower shaped like a peach!
