I wish you guys could add the dates the campground is open and closed. It would make my life so much easier when trying to plan winter trips.

When you post a review, inquire if the campground has close dates, then note it in your review. The guys/gals who screen the reviews, seems to me are struggling to keep up with the amount of reviews as it is, and are doing a heckuva job!
Just my take on it in the short time I've been here.

That would be a good one to update on a daily bases. We would need a very large staff of people on the phone called the parks all the time to see what dates they plan to open and close. This information is on the parks website in most all cases. If I see a open or close date that RV people need to know I add it in the comments like B. Kidd said. I wish the summer review rush would slow down a little but that is not the case yet. Keep in mind we have over 13,000 parks on file to take care of with new information all the time. :)

Why not just call the campground and see if they are open. I always call before I go to see if there is space and so on.

I would like to see cell coverage in a yes/no bullet and the provider in "blank" i.e

    Cell service O yes O no AT&T

Like you have in restrooms clean and cost per night

    Hi,

The problem is there are multiple cell phone companies. Note any coverage difficulties in the body of your review. What works for you may not work for me, as we are most likely on different cell phone systems.

Deserthorn, I know what you mean. I'm having that issue traveling through Montana. I've been lucky so far.

I have to agree with Nedmtnman on this one. All you have to do is call or check the park website or ???. This site can't do everything for you. What happens when somebody lists an incorrect opening or closing date in a park listing here? The RVer using that infomation isn't going to be very happy finding a closed park because they took the dates shown here as correct. This site depends on user input and is not perfect or always up-to-date. I would only depend on getting this type of information directly from the campground/park.

Because we are possibly on different carriers for cell service, that is what the "blank" is for, the reviewer would insert Verizon, AT&T, or whoever. Which might be helpful if you are on the same service. But more importantly, RVers often go to some pretty remote places where no cell service is available at all regardless of carrier. I just believe more information is always better than less, and not everyone puts coverage information in the text of the review like you and I do.

    Hi JJ,

Try casinos--they often offer at least electric sites in winter time.

I wouldn't mind calling and adding that info to the park info at all if there were a line for it. When you plan a trip across county and plan to spend 20 or so nights on the road at different place, just glancing up to see if they are open would be so cool. It doesn't have to be an exact date. We could put Generally opens 1 May and closes 30 Oct. Call for dates

I wish is were on the websites but I have found for the most part, it's not listed.

Cell phone service would be awesome also. We have some here in Washington that will pick up Canadian cell towers and then you get charged for International Rates. LOL (JJ thats Salt Creek Rec Area if you ever head that way)

For those of us with active dogs, it would be great to see in the "Accommodations" box if there is an off-leash dog run. I currently spend hours checking various websites for these. It would be so nice to have it right there on the ratings. Seems like this could be added without too much difficulty. Thanks!

The only thing I've found with these off leash dog runs is the area they usually give you is not enough to throw a ball or frisbee....not sure it would be worth it
