Hi folks, since actual RV discussions have slowed down quite a bit ('tis the season), i thought i'd post our plans for next year in May, and see if you have any suggestions.

We plan on taking two weeks and a day to drive down, spend a day in Orlando, a few days in Cape Coral with a family friend and drive back. on the way, we will stop in to see a few national parks/monuments, maybe see Graceland. I know this is an agressive plan if we want to keep the miles per day around 350, but there might be a day or two we will stretch it further.

We may take the southern route on the way back.

350 miles is a good number to shoot for. I like your southern route back.

Looks like a very nice trip... But if it was me doing the driving I would avoid Atlanta at all cost. Even the beltways around Atlanta are a nightmare.

Whenever I travel close to Atlanta I use many secondary highways and roads to avoid Atlanta. Many of the roads I use are through farm country. It will add mileage to your trip but will reduce the traffic frustration.

On RV Trip Wizard, does anyone have any idea why it totally bypassed Kansas City on this trip?

On some trip planners, you have to add some way points to go to some locations. Otherwise, they will map a route that is the fastest available to your destination.

Latest photos from our long trip. On Saturday, we visited the Ulysses S.Grant home. On Sunday, visited Stones River National Battlefield, Chickamuga and Chatanooga NB (rifle display) and Kennesaw Mountain NB. yesterday, visited Ocmulgee Mounds NP and arrived at our campground in Orlando. today spent the day in Universial, and will go again tomorrow.

here are photos from the next phase of our trip. visited Terri's friend in Cape Coral and her family for 4 days. Had a really great time! We spent one day viewing the damage from hurricain Ian last year. still quite alot of rebuilding needed.

Once we left we visited Ft. Pickens and the Gulf Islands National Seashore. Beautiful beaches!!! Then visited Vicksburg and Louisiana Downs casino and horsetrack on our way back to Texas.
