Planning a trip from South Carolina to Ohio in May. Normally take I-26 to I-40 to I-75 to get across the mountains. Wondering if I-40 and I-75 are back open after the storms last summer? Heard bridges were closed to flood damage. Wondering if anybody has traveled that way recently and give an update, would be appreciated.
As of mid-May, both interstates are open. Crews have finished most of the flood-related repairs, but travelers should still watch for updates in case of pop-up storms.
