A wonderful friend just offered us his RV to borrow and my husband has asked me to plan a RV road trip leaving on Wednesday!! So, I am trying to remain calm and I am thankful that I found this website. Hope it helps. We are in Florida and would like to take our 4 boys (ages 11-17) to see New Orleans. I thought that we could stop in the Panhandle for a night (if I can get a reservation at an RV Park) and then continue. Does anyone have a suggested itinerary? I am open to all suggestions. We can stop in Alabama or Mississippi if there is something of interest to my boys, otherwise I would go straight to New Orleans and stay there for a few days. Then, again, no idea but thinking we could head towards Savannah and then back to Florida. My goal is family bonding and showing my children sites and activities they will enjoy and remember. My boys like to see and do activities that they cannot do in Florida. History is always interesting but I can only walk them through so many museums. Zoos are of no interest. This terrific RV is 45 feet so I know that I have the struggle of finding and reserving space at an RV park. Needless to say, I am not going to be sleeping much over the next few days. Any advice and positive encouragement is greatly appreciated. Thanks so much.
