Is there a way to get the map function back on the mobile version of the site? I find it much easier to browse for campgrounds via the map then by looking at lists of states and then cities, particularly when I don't always know what city I will actually be in.
When you refer to getting the map function "back" there is an assumption that you once had it and don't any longer. Some mobile devices will not display maps under any circumstances but some (iPads, in particular) will display the maps when used in Landscape mode but not in Portrait. If you once had maps and aren't seeing them any more maybe this is your problem. Otherwise, please let us know what device you are using and what browser since some issues are browser-dependent.
Thanks for the response. Ever since the changeover to the new site (I know, more then a year now I think), I have not been able to see the maps on the mobile view of the site. I am using an Andriod device with Chrome. I just did figure out, if I have it in landscape mode and under the settings menu you can "Request the Desktop Site" and that brings up the map.
There is a new phone app being developed that I expect will be available in time for next camping season. Hopefully, it will provide better maps for mobile devices. Glad you were able to come up with a workaround for the present situation.
