Review likes

Hi y'all, just wondering if there is a way to see which of my reviews recieved a like. Being able to see them would give me a better idea on how to write a good review.

 

I asked the same question a while back fro the same reason. So far nothing has been done to show them.

 

Unfortunately what Tallboy says is true. We want to have a way for members to see which of their reviews have received a helpful vote, and it is on our programmers "to do" list.

When writing reviews I try to include information that I would find useful, I agree that it would be informative if we knew which of our reviews were considered by others as helpful.
Question: What is the difference between a helpful review and a helpful vote?

 

I just noticed that I had 4 or 5 helpful reviews and now I have none. Was something changed or someone just felt the need to not find all those reviews helpful for some reason?

 

That's definitely an interesting question. I can positively tell you that no one intentionally removed the helpful votes. The system has a mind of its own.

 

There have been other messages about this, and we are trying to figure out what has happened here.

Also driftdiver1, I am not sure I understand your question. A helpful review means that the review gave information that was helpful to the person reading it. As for a helpful vote, each review contains a section that asks if the review was helpful, and readers can vote or indicate if they thought the review was helpful. Does this answer what you are wanting to know?

 

I just checked my reviews and found that I now only have one Helpful Review. If memory serves me the last time I checked I had something around 17. "Wot hoppen".........??? No big deal but when I noticed this thread I decided to check and I have to admit that I do like having 17 versus just 1.......

We're working on this problem and expect that it will be resolved soon. The removal of the "helpful" votes was not intentional.

Me too. I had 24 helpful votes a few days ago. Now I have 6.

We are aware of the helpful review count problem, and we again apologize for that, and we're still working on getting it fixed, but the thought occurred to me: has anyone seen their helpful review count go up a lot within the last week?

 

While you are fixing this issue, I love the idea posted earlier, about know which review was helpful. They are right, it would help us in our future reviews.

Not mine. I have but one lonely like now. I am beginning to feel rejected and left out. Please, someone do something before I begin having nervous twitches and shakes. Getting knocked all the way back down to just one like is a horrible thing to have to contend with........... Perhaps by the time we get back from our holiday trip my likes will back up to where they were.......

This is a feature that lots of people have requested and it has been given to the programming team.

 

I spoke too soon.

It WAS fixed. Now I'm back to 6 from 28.
