Hey everyone. We are rolling into leawood kansas due to a death in the family. I am having trouble finding any info on free or cheap campgrounds to boondock. Any info anyone has will be greatly appreciated. we are from AZ and are used to having blm land around.
Not much for free camping anywhere near your destination. The only parking lot sort of close that allows overnight stays is: Cabela's Kansas City 9:00 AM - 8:00 PM 10300 Cabela Drive Kansas City, KS 66111 (913) 328-0322 Just register on arrival. My source says you do NOT have to purchase anything but it is suggested. Good luck. Darrell

I checked that site out before. looks like slim pickings close to our family but I guess a little bit more driving never hurt anyone
