Everyone but old BankShot must be out on the road enjoying the summer travel season as there haven't been many posts so far this month. We are close to leaving also and are just counting the days till we pull in the anchor and head north to one of our favorite destinations, Winchester Bay, Oregon. Hope we all enjoy a safe travel season and many happy days and nights doing what we all do best. Tomorrow I get to wash the motorhome...........YIPPEE!!! Regards to all, BankShot...........(aka Terry)
You're not alone. We're still at home enjoying the Texas heat. That emoji is not anger; it is a sunburn.
---------------------------------------------------------- We are in the old oven out here in No. Calif. also and suffering currently from several really big and bad wildfires. We are so looking forward to breathing in some of that fresh ocean air soon. Have a great summer Texasrvers and when you do hit the road do it safely and have lots of good times..And that emoji really is a happy face........ Regards, BankShot..............(aka Terry)
We're currently in a nice quiet NY State Park, Gilbert Lake near Oneonta, on a large relatively private site. We've been here for the past 10 days avoiding all the 4th of July explosions, since the park does not permit fireworks. Tomorrow we'll head over to our Adirondack cottage to catch up on some appointments and get some body work done on our toad to repair wind storm damage from when we were there last time. After that, we'll decide when and where next. The only firm plans so far, are to spend Labor Day week at Robert Moses State Park on the St Lawrence Seaway near Massena, NY on a site where we can watch the ships enter and exit the Eisenhower Lock. Our daughters will also be there on the site next to us, so we're really looking forward to it!
How about we add this with red for Hot Texas Summers! LOL Leaving tomorrow for Knobels in PA for a week. Next trip after that at end of the month we head to Quebec City, Montreal, 1000 island NP, Ontario, with stops in VT and association KOA on lake Ontario. Safe summer travels everyone! Mike
Well, the severe heat wave is predicted to moderate next week. We're on our way north to Crater Lake and Yellowstone, among other places. At Crater Lake the nightime temp is still in the 40's! After worrying about the A/C's making it through the summer, now I will have to worry about the furnace firing up! What a wonderful predicament!
Heh! We just went though that, Joel. A week of mid-90's temps that put both of our A/C's to the test, and now we're seeing night time temps in the mid-50's that are firing up both furnaces at times. Day time temps are a comfortable ~80 now though, making outside activities more enjoyable.
Yeah, we have mosly been staying home too. Went for a quick camping/fishing weekend about 3 weeks ago, but mostly getting chores done around the house. Not so much fun to camp with the tire bans throughout Colorado, and the heat, even in the mountains. Chris g.
Not so much fun to camp with the tire bans throughout Colorado, and the heat, even in the mountains. Chris g.[/QUOTE] That's strange Chris, We haven't heard anything about tire bans in Colorado. Which brands are being banned and for what reasons........... ................ Safe travels, Terry..............(aka BankShot)
This summer has been hotter than usual, but many times when we have the heat this high and this early in the summer, the end of summer and the start of fall is cooler than usual. We can only hope.
