Hi RV'ers, I'll be in Washington and Oregon in August with my 22' TT. We have a week or so and want to make sure we find the most scenic routes as well as great RV parks. We love hiking and looking for hikes that take us to cool spots. We also love small towns with scenic views and choices for restaurants. We would appreciate any recommendations! Thanks, Fred
Hi Fred and welcome to the forum. Over the years we have visited several RV parks in Oregon and can recommend the following ones that we really enjoyed staying at... Winchester Bay RV Resort @ Salmon Harbor, 3 miles south of Reedsport. A beautiful park built out on a jetty within waking distance to the small village marina that has various shops and places to eat, etc. The views of the harbor and marina are about a good as it gets. If you can get a Marina side waterfront space (reserve early) sitting out in the evening with a glass of wine watching the crab boats and other watercraft coming and going and the lights from the marina village across the way, is truly relaxing. This place is one you will want to spend a few days or more at. Check out their website for photos and videos... 7 Feathers RV Resort & Casino off of I-5 in Canyonville, Oregon. This is our one to two night stopover on the way to Winchester Bay. Another really nice and well laid out park with its own casino/hotel across the interstate. The park itself is behind a hill so you don't have any traffic noise day or night. Check out their website for all the info, etc... Their are several other really nice parks in Oregon on the ocean and inland listed by city on the Home page. Easy to use and lots of reviews on them on the forum. Hope this was of help, travel safe and if you do decide to give Win Bay a try that little marina village has a couple of seafood cafes that offer some of the best crab you will ever put in your mouth...
