Hello everyone, I am a brand new member to this site. The reason for joining is that my family and myself would appreciate some help.
We are from across the pond as you might say, England. Our family, six of us, are contemplating our second RVing holiday in America. Last year we toured from Las Vegas through California and back to Vegas to finish, it took us three weeks and I think the loop was to big for the amount of time that we had allowed. Also we selected approximatley ten RV sites to stay in, some good, some OK and some terrible.
This next trip we are going to the other coast and starting our trip in Washington then visiting Nashville, Memphis, Jackson and finishing in Atlanta, we are all music nuts, especially Elvis and all things Rock and Country.
Now this is how we need your help? can anyone recommend RV Parks along the way that are clean and tidy with good hospitality, we enjoy countryside locations the best the don't mind the towns as long as the sites are peaceful.
Also any places of interest that you enjoyed during your trips.
    Many Thanks and safe travelling.

Hello Mick and family, and welcome aboard! B)
When are you all heading over...and for how long? I'm not familiar with the eastern side of the good ole USA...in fact, your trip sounds great!
Use the cities you've just outlined as a starter to research parks and campground reviews on this site.
Note: Memorial Day Weekend...(May 24th-26th) is the unofficial camping season kick-off over here. Most kids are out of school for the summer...and popular campgrounds can get full quick.
Have a great trip and welcome back! :D

I'm really not trying to be rude, but your post sure sounds like one by Tracey Ann back in February. If you are the same person maybe you somehow missed the answers to that first post. There were some really good replies. Whether you are Tracy Ann or not you should read that thread because it covers a lot of information you asked about. It is titled "Excited Family from UK" and is at the bottom of the first page of the general chat forum and the last post was by RLM on Mar. 5. If that thread doesn't contain what you're looking for just let us know and we'll try again.

As for RV parks along your route I'd check out:

Cherry Hill Park in College Park, MD (Washington DC area)
Country Waye in Luray, VA (close to Shenandoah National Park)
Ft. Criswell in Wyethville, VA (a good overnight stop)
Kingsport KOA in Kingsport, TN (a little expensive, but lots of activities)
Two Rivers or the KOA in Nashville (they are both close to the Grand Ol' Opry)
Tom Sawyer's Mississippi River Campground in Memphis (this cg is on the west side
of Memphis but we think it is much better than the ones by Graceland. Or drive 30 mi
south down to Tunica if you like to gamble. There are about a dozen large casinos
there, and 3 of them have RV parks.)
If you are going to stay in Atlanta try Stone Mountain. This is a big amusement/recreation
area with lots to do. There is also a big campground.

There are many more places to stay. Just use this site to look for others.

Hope this helps, and have a great trip.
