I was just wondering if anyone had ever tried to make the famous "Beer Can Chicken" is their convection oven? If so, how did you go about it?
Jackie, sorry I can't help. I have never tried the beer can method of cooking chicken, although I have certainly seen it on lots of cooking shows. Tony is a whiz with the grill, isn't he? Has he tried it that way? We have the big Weber grill here at home, but I don't think the one we have in the motorhome would accomodate the chicken "standing up" on the can. I did a Google search on "beer can chicken convection oven" and came up with this website - if you read a few posts down, someone says they cooked it in a convection oven. Guess you could always try it and if you don't like it, I am sure Gucci would be happy to "dispose" of it for you.... http://www.chowhound.com/topics/274838
