We are looking for RV Park options in Southern California, preferably with a pool. We have 2 preteen kids and would like them to be able to keep busy.
So. Calif. covers a pretty large area so if you could give the forum a little more info on what kind of areas you would like to be in and whether you are looking to stay at a state campground outside city limits with lots of "nature" going for it, or at a more "cemented in" type of actual RV park. Also what amenities you are looking for with regards to hookups, etc. Personally I can give you the names of several RV parks with pools for the kids but as I indicated they are scattered all over the So. Calif. area. I know once you give us some more info you will get a bunch of responses and recommendations. Great to hear you are introducing your kids to RVing as it is a wonderful family adventure which will give them many great memories to look back on................. Santee Lakes Rec. Area in Santee has a couple of good pools, fishing, etc. It's also very near the northern terminus of the trolley to San Diego.
Sorry to be late to this party, but we love the RV Park at the Pechanga Casino in Temecula - yes they have a pool and aren't too far from Old Town, plus for everybody (!), there's the casino within walking distance. And best of all - this is one of the best parks that takes Passport America (although there are some limitations on when they take it).
