Looking for a campground near the blue ridge pkwy that is higher in elevation (cooler temps) and has electric and hot showers. Been to Mt Pisgah campground and loved it. Just looking for somewhere different this time around....
The Blue Ridge Pkwy is a long road. Can you pull this down a little or tell what part you would like to drive on?
Asheville is full of RV parks and we have all on this website. Pull up Asheville and read all the reviews plus all the small places around Asheville are here as well. Go to USA map and click on NC, next drill down near Asheville and look at all the Blue dots. Each dot is a campground. Click on the dot will open up the city name and then you can see campgrounds under that. You will have lots of places to pick from.

Davidson River CG - right in Pisgah Forest near Breavrd. Hot showers, only limited number of sites with electric. No A/C needed.
We had a massive brake failure (Workhorse brake problem) on the Blue Ridge Parkway North of Ashville, so be very careful and rest your motor home frequently.
Have you looked at the Mile High Campground? Maybe 1 hour south of Asheville on BRP. We stopped while driving by, some spectacular views from each site... Not sure of the utilities offered, but they did have hot showers...
