Where'd you find that one? I'm not familiar with it. Please post the link.

    Looks like virgin territory.

    Looking forward to the review.

    Love that area.

We have a week between a grandsons birthday in Hemet this Saturday and a Super Bowl party next week in Fontucky so I was looking for somewhere to stay during the week.
We were thinking maybe a couple of days at Lake Skinner and then a couple of days at Pinezanita in Julian.
In my search I remember 30+ years ago we used to camp at Vail Lake/Butterfield Country.
I had forgotten it called Vail Lake now and when I typed in Butterfield I got this place.

Not sure what we are really going to do, it's been 30 + since we did a lot of camping.

    I'm open to any suggestions.

    Thanks
    Ray

    Hello Jack and H2O:
Like you, it's been A LONG time since we stayed at this campground. Looks like (from the link) some upgrading has occured since our boon-docking days in the surrounding deserts. We normally just continue on into Borrego Springs to either the State Park (small, but does have full hook-ups), or the newest RV Golf Resort. Watched the superbowl last year at the State Park on our Directv Sat dish, no problem.

NOTE: Julian is high elevation. Translation: winter weather. Snow, ice, and everything associated with winter. Julian area was also hit (again) last fall with more devistating fires. Not sure how Pinezsanita fared.

    Hope this helps. B)
