Can anyone recommend a good campground near Arches National Park? I was considering Portal RV Park, Arch View Campground, or Moab Valley RV Park. We are planning to go there in July.
We've only stayed at one park near the Arches--the Canyonlands RV Park in Moab, and we can definitely recommend against this park. Stay anywhere else, but not here.
Countrygirl - Stayed at Arch View mid-May for three nights and enjoyed the stay. It has location and amenities. Just north of Arches NP entrance and across the highway from the road to Canyonlands NP and Deadhorse Point SP. At the north end of Moab, where the Colorado River crosses the highway, we noticed a very nice looking RV park - Riverside Oasis, I believe - right on the river. Good luck and enjoy.

I've stayed at Canyonlands, been through Portal, my friend stays at Spanish Trail and loves it, another friend stays at Riverside Oasis and loves it but I can't stand the place, never heard anyone complain about Arch View either. When I go to Moab now I make my stay at Slickrock, located just south of Riverside Oasis and just north of Portal. Stay at any of these campgrounds, just not Canyonlands!!!
