Kentucky is no small state, is there someplace in particular you are looking for?

We have only stayed there at a KOA south of Louisville, which was nice enough, depending on what you want.

Not sure what "current situation" to which you are referring? COVID? The state isn't closed & neither are their campgrounds.....although it's getting late in the season some may have closed for that reason. We RV quite frequently in KY. What area of the state are you looking to visit? What do you want in a campground?

I don't know where you wish to go in KY, but the "Bourbon Trail" area around Lexington is a great place to escape from "the current situation"! After a few stops on the Trail, you won't worry about anything!

I like the suggestion. KOA is the best place for family trip as well. Thanks for your suggestion.

We're in the midst of planning a trip to the distilleries in July. Being locked up, we start plotting potential trips, locations and routes. Big issue is that several parks don't open and/or accept reservations this far out. We'd like to start around Louisville and the area distilleries and work our way south into TN and Jack Daniels and such before wandering home to St. Louis. About a 2-3 week trip. Pretty country.
