I am looking for experiences at Cedar Creek Campground in Virginia. We are thinking about a February visit, for our once a year HardCore campout. If you have been there, please let me know what you think about the facilities and management. Thanks for your Time!
J. King There are several reviews for "Battle of Cedar Creek Campground" in Middletown, VA. I assume this is the campground you refer to as there is no "Cedar Creek Campground" in VA that we are aware of. Go to the Virginia page, then click on Middletown. Does not have very good reviews. Webmaster PS--using the search/find feature at the top of each states page will find the campground if listed. Just type in "Cedar Creek" and press the button.
J King, You may be thinking about the state park south of Strasburg and Cedar Creek. This park is on Hwy. 678 and has a camp site down at south end of park. The sites are in very heavy woods have power and water only. Dump station in park. People who run site are RV people also and live on site near front. You can get a class A into a number of sites. Some sites would take some work to get into. Small RV units would not be a problem. This place is very quite. You will need to take it with you, no stores in park. Drive east out of Strasburg on Hwy. 55 about 6 miles and Hwy. 678 will turn south into park. I would drive down and see park if you have a tow. We have been by the Battle Of Cedar Creek Camping, site is on a hill very close to Cedar Creek and did not look to good. We did not camp in park. Hope this will help.
