Just a heads up for anyone planning to visit Branson MO. The Compton Ridge campground closed permanently last fall (2013) and auctioned off all the equipment in early December. It's really a shame since that was one of the better campgrounds in Branson. :(

Compton Ridge campground has reopened in Branson, MO. They are under new ownership (Ocean Canyon Properties) and new management. Here's a link to the campground.

I guess Compton Ridge Campground and Lodge is trying to sell memberships to Ocean Canyon Properties because they cold called us offering a “freeâ€￾ three night stay at their campground. Heck yes I’ll take a tour of the property and even sit through a sales pitch for three nights of “freeâ€￾ camping in the Branson area.

We stayed at Compton Ridge a few years back when the previous owners were still operating the campground so we are familiar with the RV park. It will be interesting to see what the new managers are like and what changes, if any, have been made to the campground.
