While staying at our last RV park we witnessed a funny escapade of one small terrier type dog who had evidently gotten loose from one of the long term spaces and started checking out a few trash bags that had been left curbside at several other spaces. This little guy was really into it as he would run up to a bag, tear at it with his teeth and paws and finally get it open to where he could sample the contents along with making quite a mess as he chowed down. We contacted the office to let them know what was going on and within just a few minutes three guys on a cart came roaring down the road just in time to see the little guy run off between two RVs and disappear. He had evidently ripped into several other "bags in waiting" in different areas of the park as one guy told us they knew who he was and who he belonged to as they have been thru this in the past with him. He said it was a game the dog liked to play. We watched for a short while as the three of them went off on foot in different directions to try and catch him and every few minutes the dog would come running down our road as fast he was able to run, then stop and wait till one of the guys came into view and he'd take off again. The whole group ended up a couple of roads over and later one of the guys told us that they had finally caught him and returned him to his owners. It was quite the sight to see three guys running helter-skelter up and down the road and back and forth between the spaces only to see the dog come running out of where he had been hiding from them and take off in another direction, etc. An amusing scenario that played out before us as we sipped our morning coffee........... Sure glad it wasn't our dog as none of the three guys were really all that happy about playing the game that morning. Oh, and one last funny. When the dog had finished tearing one bag open and spilling some of the contents out onto the road, he calmly lifted his leg and let loose a stream onto it. We told one guy who was about to clean the mess up, what the dog had done, and he immediately thanked us and put on a pair of plastic gloves. To us it seemed like this was the dog's way of getting back at them for interrupting his mealtime..... Regards, BankShot.............(aka Terry)
