    Hi Folks,

I'm interested in how many people are relying on GPS of some kind.

If you are not interested, that's fine--but don't bother wasting bandwidth to tell us about it.

    That second question ... ?
Have ceased using GPS for locating RV sites. Websites and Trailer Life directions are vastly better.

With all due respect I think your poll needs revising. I admire your effort because I could not set up a poll if I wanted to, but it looks like a few things went wrong with yours.

    Hi TX,

Well, as usual, I messed up setting the poll. But, there is no way for me to edit the poll. LOL!!

    Don,

We use the GPS system from time to time in motorhome. We have two, one is our 17"Apple laptop running Street Atlas USA 2009 on Wins side. Great way to see the roads and places before you pass they. We also carry a Meridian Gold hand unit running MapSend Direct Route software. We can drop it in tow and use it to find places to tour or places to eat. We also find Good Sams works best to find campgrounds over GPS. GPS can not see dead end streets, closed roads, roads now open but not in mapping system. Nice to have!

Pianotuna, I didn't understand your second poll choice.

"I do NOT have GPS but use it with various maps...."

How can you "use it with various maps" if you DO NOT have GPS?

I voted NO because the statement didn't make sense.

Actually, yes, I DO have GPS and I DO use it with various maps.

    Hi JJ,

What I was trying to ask is if you do *not* have a gps do you use gps numbers with google maps or yahoo maps. Does that make it clearer? (not enjoying being in bed with a broken leg).

    Hi JJ,

I tripped over some stuff that my wife had thrown down the basement stairs. I was carrying a box at the time and there was no way I could have seen the items. *not* a happy camper.

I think I'll redo the poll.
