Is anyone familiar or even been to this park? (East Lynn Lake Campgrounds - Stonewall, WV 25557) Looking for a stay of a day or two on our way to St. Louis from Fairy Stone SP. We will have a small B+ and looking for a shaded spot, not an open field. Google Earth doesn't reveal much other than the lake looks more like a river than a lake. And the Corp reservation site's GPS coordinates are not to the campground. thanks
Not sure where Stonewall, WV is, but Stonewall Jackson Resort in Roanoke, WV, (beautiful, full hookups including cable and cheap) is our favorite campground.
You likely have figured it out at this date but as the previous reply states, Stonewall Lake and Resort is located along I-79 in the central part of WV. East Lynn Lake is located near the Kentucky border and several miles south of I-64 at Huntington, WV. If that is the location you desire, then Beech Fork Lake and State Park is much closer off I-64. Plus they have some real nice shaded spots for smaller RVs.
