Having attended an RV show this last weekend in Saratoga Springs, N.Y., I could not help but notice that two local existing campgrounds, or parks, have been acquired by "Encore". As "Encore" has not received good reviews or postings in the past on an older thread, on this site, I wish to inform the Rving public as to this information. The campgrounds by name are: Lake George Escape, and Alpine Lake Campgrounds. The Lake George Escape is located north of Lake George at Warrensburg, and Alpine Lake Campground is located at Corinth. Both campgrounds are located close to the "Lake George Region". Both campgrounds have been sold a couple of times in the last five years, and as the saying states:"a word to the wise". Be informed and aware.
Hope they treat those parks better than what we have seen here in Florida. They have the money to by new parks but don't seem to be able to find the money to keep the one they have in good repair.
butch' i've stayed at alpine lake a few times. i hope they don't screw it up. i like being on the lake there. i don't realy care for the sites back off the lake.
