Hello, we are new rvers..went from pull-behind to class a gas to class a 09 diesel revolution in about 18 months..needless to say..we are HOOKED..we have 2 small children, just got back from myrtle beach,sc and we are looking for more kid friendly camping resorts, but we have found that we need big rig friendly resorts..can anyone help us..I have searched the web for hours..please help. jchapman

don't know how small is small. we go to frontier town in ocean city, md. it has a wild west show, a free water park, and craft time for the kids. they also have a fishing and crabbing pier. my grandsons, one 2 and the other 13, had a ball.
My kids have had the most fun at the following CG's: Hill City/Mt. Rushmore KOA, South Dakota--large pool/water play complex, jumping pillow, horseback riding on GORGEOUS trails, yet still just nature-y enough to still feel like camping. Our familiy's favorite camping experience yet. Normandy Farms in Foxboro, Massachusetts--parents were not too impressed (WAY too big, way too commercial feeling) but there were tons of kids activities, 4 pools, a really great playground, huge dog park Quarryville Jellystone in Pennsylvania--they have a mini-waterpark (not nearly as large as it looks on their website however), jumping pillow, and tons of planned kids activities. Paintball on site, but we did not participate in that. Sites were very wooded and nice. Plan to use your onboard shower, because they have WAY too few showers in the bathhouses. Newburgh/New York City KOA--Simple campground but good clean fun. Pool/jumping pillow/playground all in one area, so it's easy to keep an eye on the kids from one spot. Fire truck rides around the CG, complete with siren, every day at 5:00, plus planned activities. Our TT is only 29' but we saw big rigs in all of these locations. Hope this helps! thank you so much for all the responses..we are checking out all the recommendations for next year...I didn't realize how hard it is to find a kid-friendly campground (cg with lots of kid friendly facilities--pools,playgrounds,basketball goals, etc) thanks to everyone..jchapman
If you head west next year, do plan to stop at the Nugget RV Park in St. Regis, Montana. We've stayed there several times. They have a great pool, a playground, horseshoes, basketball court, driving range and badmitton. They even have an old mining town right on the property! The staff at the Nugget is outstanding and the views are outrageous. Plenty of hiking trails, pet friendly and close river access. You'll do yourself a favor if you stay at the Nugget.
I would agree. I believe that there are more than one Jellystone Parks as well. Maybe post on the specific area you're interested in and you'll get lots of responses. : )
