We would like to spend about a month in Northern to Central Florida (last minute decision) from March-April. We already have our travel trailer in storage for the winter so will have to stay in an apartment, rental rv or whatever. Has anyone ever rented an rv in a park? We are on a limited income but really would like to do this. If we really enjoy this trip we will probably bring our 5th wheel next year.

Contact Sugar Creek Resort in Bradenton. This is an owner lot, but they have units for rent.
I would suggest that you go to "Campground Search" and pick one of the parks near Ocala. We live east of Ocala in Silver Springs and can tell you that there are about a dozen parks in the area. You will be arriving about the time the "Snow Birds"start leaving and will be able to find eithe a cabin or a camp trailer to rent. The weather is great in the spring.
We live in the area and have camping all around. Most of the average to upscale parks have park models for rent. These have about as much room as a 35 foot motorhome, but vary a lot in size. The parks push them heavily and usually have photos of them on their website. With this website and a telephone, you should have no trouble fining what ever you want. You might also be able to find a coach for rent. Many Northerners as they get older stay shorter and shorter and finally don't come at all. The park would get a commission and be happy to help you.
