I know it's maybe a bit late, but we are trying to book places now to stay in Tetons and Yellowstone. We are open to staying outside the parks, but would you recommend the best place to stay that is also not too far to drive? We have a 37' motor home and are towing a Jeep. And we are looking to arrive on June 16th and hope to stay about 2 weeks in the area.
Hi! Your plans to visit the Tetons and Yellowstone sound great! I would suggest staying in Jackson, Wyoming, because it is close to Grand Teton and has lots of RV options. Also, West Yellowstone is a great option for easy access to the park. Make sure to book early as June can get very busy!
We are actually staying in Coulter Bay Campground in the Tetons next weekend. We'll let you know how it goes. this was the last weekend alot of things are still open until the spring. looks like all campgrounds in the park fill up fast, so keep an eye on reservation openings.
