The two best in the area are The Virginian in Jackson (be aware it will be crowded and expensive) and Colter Bay. Colter Bay gets a lot of mixed reviews. Some say it is great, some say it is not good. For some reason people are hot or cold on it. That being said, just go slowly and remember you are at Grand Teton for the National Park, not the RV park.
We stayed on the backside of the Tetons in Victor Idaho. It was an easy drive from there to Jackson Wyoming, however we are unsure that you would want to use that route to get to the campground initially. We arrived from the north and left to the south with our motorhome. The 'grade' thru the pass from Victor to Jackson is not an easy one so depending on your routing the backside of the Tetons may or maynot be convenient. Nonetheless we were able to do all the Teton things and also got to experiece the otherside as well....it worked for us !!!

The sites are aprrox. 23 feet wide with additional area at some sites. A reservation is a must and can be made on line on the Grand Teton Lodge site. Expensive for what you get but with a 5th wheel that size I'd advise a reservation.
Colter Bay is fantastic in my opinion. Great sites, great views, great atmosphere. It is a touch pricy but I think it's worth it when you consider there's gas right there, food, equipment, a marina and you are right in the middle of the park. You would spend far more in gas driving from a campground farther away from the park.
We stayed at Teton Valley Campground in Victor, ID in Aug 08 coming from Yellowstone. We loved the campground. Our rig is a 37' long 5th wheel toyhauler with 3 sliders. We had plenty of room on our site and enough room to drop the ramp to unload our motocycle. I agree going over the pass to Jackson in an RV would be nerve racking but we passed a lot of units while going over there on our motorcycle several different times. We also smelled a lot of brakes and clutches from both semi's and rv's.
There are 2 Coulter Bays, one is a campground and the other is Coulter Bay RV Park. The campgrounds road is very narrow especially when everyone has their slides out. It is very hard to maneuver around slides and window awnings. Campfire smoke gets pretty thick in there too. During the summer it's very crowded and you are packed in like sardines. The Coulter Bay RV Park is expensive but there is enough room to get slides and awnings out. When making a reservation and you're over 62 and have a Golden Age Pass don't forget to ask for a discount. We normally stay at Gros Ventre Campground closer to Jackson but still in the park. We spent 3 weeks there last June/July and love the peace and quiet. No electric but they do have a dump station at the entrance of the campground along with drinking water.
