Depends on what you want - there is more vegetation toward the back of the park, so if you like shade there are more selections the further away from the front you get. That's due to a hurricane several years ago that damaged the front, nearer the gulf, more than the back part. The more primitive hiking trails are nearer the back also. The lake, swimming pool, camp store, activities bldg., education bldg. and amphitheater are closer to the front. All sites are level, some have hedge rows between the sites for better privacy. Lake front sites are along one side. There are no sites on the Gulf - that's across a busy hwy.
