Help! We're planning on staying at Hilton Head Island in South Carolina in a couple of months. There are two RV resorts on the island. One is called Outdoor Resorts Motorcoach Park and the other is called Outdoor Resorts RV Park and Marina. Both sound excellent and both are highly rated. We have a 40' motorhome with satellite TV and satellite internet and need exposure to the Southern sky. Anybody visited both of these resorts who would share their experience with us? Thanks. :) :)

Yes, you are in luck. We have been in the two parks this year. Due to trees and Sat. Dish problems use RV & Marina. You will have a clean shot at the sky on most sites. I would ask to go see the site before you sign in. This park will take any type of RV unit, the other will take only class "A" or "C", most all sites have very heavy trees overhead. We like it and we used parks cable system.

On the Marina park, as you travel east on Hwy. 278 you will cross bridge over water to get on island. The park will be on your left side or north and is hard to see sign. I think a small sign is on right of road also. I think it is about 1/4 to 1/2 mile at best from bridge. You will see a turn lane. All signs on island are very small. Need to drive down and look at the other park as well, it is little past mile marker 10. A very small sign on road will say "RV Park". Turn right and go north 1/4 mile and it will on right, very hard to see from road.

    Enjoy your trip and stay!

The Motor Coach resort is the nicer of the two. As I recall if you can get a space around the small lake you will have a clear shot at the Satellite. Resort location is close to shopping and the beach as well as food.

The parks in HH are just lovely, but we are not TV people. We love the RV & Marina location because we love the boats docked there. The tennis courts were being resurfaced while we were there, but the pool on the point was great. What a view! Nice swings that overlook the water. Ahh.
