Has anyone ever camped at Holmes County State Park in Mississippi? Family of three going to Florida over Spring Break; just want to make sure it is a nice place.

We stayed there years ago on our way to Florida and am currently trying to find information about it, but can't even find if it is still open. Can't find a thing on the net that's current. Sorry I can't be of more help.

From viewing the 1st link provided above, I see that the park is PERMANENTLY CLOSED. You could try one of the Corp of Engineer parks south of Memphis . We liked Enid Lake/ Wallace Creek Campground or Persimmon Hill. There are also campgrounds on Artabutka (sp?) and Grenada Lake on the way down I-55. Wallace Creek has modern level cement pads, 30/50 amp electric and water on site. There may be some full-hookups also but we never stayed long enough to need that.
