FYI: Oceanside Campground is incorrectly listed in Charleston Oregon, it should be in Oceanside, California. The correct Oceanside Beachfront RV Resort in Coos Bay/Charleston Oregon is not listed.
Unless someone fixed this in the past 20 minutes the park appears to be properly listed for me. The park in Charleston OR isn't listed because no one has submitted a review of it. Parks get listed when reviews are submitted.
We owe you an apology because the problem you noticed is real, it's just very convoluted and exhibits itself differently depending on how you search for it. It turns out that there are two listings for an Oceanside RV Park in CA but one of those is linked to a URL for the CG in Charelston OR. Also, you were right in that the CA CG shows up in the OR listings but it does so with the same ID number as the park of the same name in CA. Therefore, us normal mortals can't merge it with the correct park because the system thinks there is only one park to begin with. Needless to say, we have turned this over to "higher programming authorities who ought to be able to sort things out.
No apology necessary.. ..suggest your tech guy looks at Oceanside California, first, there he/she will find 2 listings...the first one does have reviews for Oregon, the address and name needs to be changed & deleted from California & moved to Oregon. The link to the park web site is for Oregon. The second listing is correct w/reviews for Oceanside California and the link for that web site is correct. Hope that helps, we will be at the Oregon site on 6/10 !!!
Thanks for your input. We think at one time we had a listing for both parks, but they have become a tangled mess. We are trying to figure out how to separate them without losing the reviews so perhaps you could give us a little more help. You said there were two listings under Oceanside, CA. We find this to be correct, and you went on to say that "the first one does have reviews for Oregon, . . ." But when we look at the reviews for both the listings, they seem to be identical and appear to be for only the California location. Therefore, it would be a very big help if you could identify the reviews in the first listing which you think are for Oregon. We want both of these parks to have correct listings and your help with this will be appreciated.
Here you go: California needs to have the 3 most recent reviews deleted: 417 by Lovemydogsmom, 5/17 by silverado, 8/16 by Rick Frazier, just delete them from California as they are for Oregon and are already posted correctly in Oregon (#1 of 2). Beginning with 11/16 review by Marie B, this plus all the older ones stay with California. On the Oregon site, there are 2 listings, delete the 2nd listing all of it, this is the one that starts with 11/16 review by Marie B-this all pertains to California and is already duplicated correctly in CA (see above). Leave the first Oregon listing and reviews, you need to change the name and address to Oceanside Beachfront RV Resort and Cape Arago Hwy (see their web site). Hope this makes sense
Let me assure you that knowing which reviews are for Oregon will be very helpful in sorting this out. However, we think there are probably more reviews for the Oregon park than the 3 you identified, so I'm afraid that this will be a little harder to fix than just changing the name of the park on the listings and deleting and moving reviews. But you have given us a good start, and we will try to get everything straightened out. Thanks again for your help.
