Hello everyone: We are completely new to RV'ing -- just purchased a 26 foot 2006 Starcraft pop-up tent trailer. We're looking for a great, family friendly, safe, RV Park or campground with hookups in southern California that has at minimum electric and water hookup and is close to an awesome fireworks show -- San Diego is our first choice, but not familiar with other fireworks shows in southern California, so we welcome input. We have very young children -- ages 2 and 4, and no pets. Does Santa Monica, CA have a fireworks show on July 4th and if so, anyone know of a good RV Park near the beach/pier? Already checked on: Chula Vista RV Park - sold out Mission Bay RV Resort - don't accept pop-up tent trailers Campland on the Bay - our friends said this place is not fun during holidays because it gets way too overcrowded. Would appreciate your suggestions. Thx. Thanks, Claudia
We used to live in Camarillo/Ventura area a few years ago and we would take weekend trips to the Ventura Beach RV Park. Kid friendly good store, play ground, pool, and really clean and about a 20 minute walk to the beach. Your are right there close to the ventura fairgrounds, again about a 15-20 min walk and they have a great fireworks show. Which I hope they still have. Make sure you visit down town ventura, another 15min walk, theres the old mission great food, shopping and stop in at the Busy Bee Diner and get there hot fudge sundae its incredible!! Hope this helps......
