We're planning a trip to ride our bikes on the Katy Trail in Missouri and to camp in our motorhome near the trail somewhere. Do you have a recommendation on a scenic part of the trail and a campground for us to try?
Sundermeir RV Park is located directly on the Katy Trail in St Charles. Its a nice park, but a little expensive for what it offers. Biking the Katy is great. We didn't have much luck finding campgrounds on to the west of St Charles. The most scenic part of the trail is through the wine country (called the Americam Rhine) starting a few miles to the west of St Charles and continuing for 75 miles or so. Depending on the time of the year, take plenty of mosquito repellant. Great area. I know you will like it.
