So, in May (2025) we will be spending a long weekend in Kansas City going to Worlds of Fun and going to the NASCAR race. While there, we might go out to dinner one night, so we'd like to sample some local food, probably barbecue. Any suggestions?
We found one in Independence (right next door to KC ) called "A Little BBQ Joint". (Actually, it found us....we could smell it a block away so we just followed our nose) I wouldn't call it an "out for dinner" place as in the decor and atmosphere were pretty laid back but the food and service were good. I'd go back if I were in KC/Independence again. We did not try any others in the area so I can't ssy that there is or isn't better pout there. I have tried BBQ in many places and I would give them a thumbs up easily.
