It will be our first time in Arizona. We want to be on the lake, since we will be using a double kayak. Lake Havasu looks pretty good on the map. Need your recommendations on campgrounds in the area.
We have a dog, so it will have to be a dog friendly place.

I'm not sure if you are still interested in information on Lake Hasasu since your post is over a month old but there are only a few campgrounds right on the lake. There is one called Crazy Horse on the island, Sand Point is about 10 miles south of town, Havasu Springs is at the very south end of the lake and Havasu Landings is on the California side of the lake. E-mail me if you have more detailed questions.

 you may also want to consider camping on the river. Several sites available if that would be an option. Some state parks, some county parks. You will enjoy the area. You may also want to visit Laughlin if Casino action is to your liking. Have a great time.. Don
