We’re planning to visit the Northwest this summer during July and August. We’re traveling in a 41’ Class A with a tow vehicle. We’d like to stay a month each in a couple different spots that can act as a home base to explore the area. We’re looking for 50 amp full hookups, paved patio, good Verizon reception, and ideally limited trees (due to our roof top satellite dish). We like onsite amenities like swimming pool, laundry and other activities. We love the outdoors but don’t want to be too remote because we also like to explore the metro areas. Generally speaking we’ve been looking around the Northwest area of both states. We love luxury motorcoach resorts but would like to keep the monthly rate under $1,000. Looking for recommendations on sites that will best meet our needs. Do such places exist?
Hi JeanAndAndy and welcome to the forum. Allow me to suggest checking out the following RV parks in Oregon that are really nice, and that offer a good base for exploring the surrounding areas.. They are as follows: Winchester Bay RV Resort - Winchester Bay, Oregon (Our favorite place to stay) You will need to make reservations in advance as this place books up quickly all year round. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there and will be going back again this July for a longer stay. We madeour reservations before we left to insure we will have a waterfront site. Neat little village with shops and great places to eat and the Oregon Dunes are close by if you are into that sort of thing... Seven Feathers Casino/RV Resort - Canyonville, Oregon Located right off I-5 and is rated as one of the top RV parks in the state. Great for an overnight or longer term stay if you are wanting to explore this particular area of Oregon. Doesn't get much better than this one.......... Emigrant Lake RV Park - Ashland, Oregon Situated on the north end of the lake about 5 miles south of Ashland off I-5. Great place to set out the chairs and grill, kick back and enjoy the beautiful surroundings and the overall peace and quiet this area provides. The Ashland area is great for exploring also..... These are just three of the many parks we've stayed at and enjoyed very much. Check out their websites for yourself and enjoy. And also read the reviews of each one to get more thoughts on each of them made by others who have stayed there. There are several other top notch parks and "resorts" that you can locate by using the reviews section for Oregon and Washington. Good luck and safe travels on your upcoming trip. Andy & Jean, I'd recommend looking at the Jantzen Beach RV Park. Its an easy 20 minutes to downtown in your towed. We stayed there long term (years ago) and would go again.
