    Hi,

I am brand new to RV'ing, and bought a E2 Round Bar Hitch with my TT (Jayco Jayflight). While installing it, the technician told me that I should not make sharp turns while backing the TT with this hitch. He claimed that doing so will damage the L-brackets. This is a problem for me, as I have to do exactly this to get my TT up my driveway. I'm backing up a long hill with a sweeping 90 in it. Plenty of room to make the turn, but it has the TT at a sharp angle to my truck.

So, is this an issue? Can I make a sharp turn while backing without damaging the hitch (obviously without jack-knifing the trailer)? If I can't, can I remove the sway bars before backing and still safely use this hitch?

    Thank you!!

Remove the sway bars, they are not needed during low speed driving or backing.
