Member contact info

Perhaps I'm missing it, but I do not see a means of contacting a member who has posted a review. Is this possible?

 

It is possible for one member to contact another one.

From the Home Page, click on Forum.
On the Forum page place the cursor over the envelope beside your username located on the right side of the page, and a drop down box will appear.
At the bottom of the box click on "Start a New Conversation."
On the next page, type the username of the member you want to contact into the Participants box. Then add a title for the message along with your comments and click on "Start a Conversation."
If the username is not valid you will receive a message telling you this, and then you should check to be sure the spelling and the spacing in the name are accurate.

The member you contacted will receive an email telling him you have started a conversation with him. When he replies, you will get an email informing you of this. At this point, the envelope on the menu bar will indicate that you have a message. Click on the envelope and your list of conversations will be displayed. Choose this specific title and read your message. And just so you know, when using this method, neither member's email address is displayed for the other person to see.

I just noticed that the list of names to choose from does not include the member I wish to contact. Am I correct to conclude that the list provided is not comprehensive?

 

It sure should be a comprehensive list. Please PM me the name of the member so I can check it out.

 

All members should be listed and especially if they submitted a review which is what you originally stated. I will be glad to check into this further, but I need the other member's name. If you do not wish to post it publicly, use the instructions to send me a message and let me know what member you are trying to locate. Be careful choosing my username; there are quite a few similar names and if you are even one character off, the system will not find my name. It is Texasrvers and must be entered exactly that way. But the easiest way is to just choose the one with my avatar.

 

The member you're trying to contact may have that function disabled in his/her "Message Preferences" under "Contact Details".
