Anyone use mobile Wifi Company out of FLA offeres AT&T unlimited data for $39.95 a month no contract is this good.
Gotta check the activation charges if you start and stop usage as we do. Verizon killed me on out hot spot. We didn't use ours for 4 months and were charged $35 to activate it. Back to ATT for me,
We currently have an AT&T "Mobley" device on their $20/month "Connected Car" unlimited 4G/LTE data plan that's serving all of our mobile Internet needs. Just in case we should happen to land in a spot with no AT&T coverage (hasn't happened yet), we also have a grey market $5/month unlimited 3G Verizon Jetpack along.
Any tips about their connection quality? It's pingy-wingy on the road or still stable and low latency?
The thread you're replying to is a couple of years old, so things have changed a bit since then. We still have the $20/mo AT&T Mobley unlimited data 4G/LTE plan, but it's no longer offered for new activations. We've also replaced the no longer working $5 Verizon 3G plan with a $65/mo Verizon Prepaid hotspot unlimited 4G/LTE data plan that's also no longer offered. Everywhere we've been from northern NY to southern Florida, one or the other service has worked well for us, and usually both are fast enough for streaming video. The "Mobile Internet Resource Center" is a good source for current plan and equipment advice.
Thank you for sharing it. I was on the lookout. Tell me what is the speed of the Internet? maps and navigation are interesting. Is there a connection in all places?
Internet by cell service speeds vary quite a bit depending on how far you are from the nearest tower, how busy the tower is, etc. We've seen speeds down in the low single digits to the mid 70's as we travel. Cell signal coverage has improved significantly over the last few years, especially for AT&T and T-Mobile, but there are still areas that have no coverage or just poor coverage from a single carrier.
