We are looking for Lake camping. We are buying a 25ft Fleetwood Terry (250RKS 2004). We have never owned an RV before and are really excited to get away on the weekends. We live in Corona, California. Anyone out there with ideas for us begginers? Thanks!

California is FULL of gorgeous places to stay. Start at Pechenga Casino, beautiful park, albeit a tad expensive. Then there is Morro Bay, try Morro Dunes RV Park, an older park but a stones toss from the ocean (request a pull through). Then try Flying Flags in Buellton. Very convienent to multiple places to visit.

    Hi neighbor,

Corona residents also. We just bought a new motorhome a couple weeks ago. Not our first RV, but kids are grown now and we missed camping.

In the 80's we frequented the Colorado River with the RV and boat. We returned to a campground we use to go to often. This time no boat, but still enjoyed camping right on the cool fresh river. Echo Lodge on the California side. Full hook-ups. This was our first trip in the new motorhome and all went well. Were trying Pechanga's next week because it's so close and we love those poker machines.
This is a great site. I've looked at all the reviews several times and as the other post recommended, I think we will try Flying Flags, Morro, Pismo, and Chula Vista next. It looks like there are some real nice places further north in the Wine Country, Sierra's, and Gold Country also. Probably need at least four or five days though because of distance. Keep up the post and tell us about your experiences.

It would help if you said what state you want to camp in.
