No search bar on main page

I'm on the site using my Samsung Android phone. On the main page I was looking for the search bar, but it wasn't there. I had to go to one of the reviews to see the free-form search bar. Is this a glitch or planned?

Thanks for posting the screen shot. Are you using the app or just the regular webview on you phone?
