We're heading to New England in June and need cg recommendations for 2-3 nights convenient for seeing Mt. Washington, Franconia Notch, etc. We have a 40' MH and no children to worry about. Gorham, Littleton, Twin Mountain, and Woodstock all have cgs of note, but would like someone's input as to which would be the best for our needs. (W, S, E 50 amp if poss. nothing else necessary....yes...room for slideouts and no low trees!) Also recommend routes to avoid for big rigs? (Heading to Maine next...Eustis... then Rockport.)
    Thanks...

There are many good campgrounds in this area. I live in this area and have stayed at a couple and have visited several. Which ones are you looking at? There is definitely one to avoid in Littleton, I think it is called Natures Way or something like that. It looks horrible -- just some sites stuck up on a sandy hill. The most convenient for what you want to do would be in Twin Mt. --- would have short drive to Franconia Notch & to Mount Washington (COG Railway side). If you plan to go up auto road--you can use own car or take a bus), Gorham is closer.

Let me know if you have any specific questions. Have a great vacation.
