Well gang, time to plan a long trip. Becki and I are planing on a trip from home (Southeast AZ) to the Oregon Coast in September. So far all is preliminary, but here is the idea.

Day 1 - From Sierra Vista, AZ the the 29 Palms Marine base RV Park in southern CA. Avoiding Phoenix.

Day 2 - From 29 Palms to Travis Air Force Base RV Park, north-central CA. Avoiding LA and SF.

Day 3 - from Travis AFB to the south coast of Oregon on RT 101.

It is our intention to stay on the Oregon coast for 10-14 days at 2 to 3 locations as yet undetermined. This the the reason for this post - need recommendations for RV parks on or near the coast for those days.

We are pulling a 25+ foot 5'er with one slide-out and accompanied by 2 dogs (supervisors)

    Interests:

    Lot's of seafood
    biking
    walking (light hiking)
    fishing
    chill'in

    Any ideas? recommendations??

Return trip will likely be via inland routes and leisurely.

Bullards Beach State Park 18 miles south of Coos Bay and 2 miles north of Bandon, Oregon has everything you are asking for http://www.oregonstateparks.org/park_71.php . Wonderful wooded sites A & B loops are best and most have full hookups in those loops. The small town of Bandon has lots of small shops and great seafood restaurants, don't miss the Bandon Fish Market (the little Blue building) on the waterfront http://www.bandon.com/webfront/merchants/m...p?merchantid=30 - their fish & chips are great and you eat outside on picnic tables! :) We also live in the Phoenix area and are leaving for Bandon in 4 days.

Here are a couple more places we have eaten at also -
