Would anyone know if there is a decent rv park around Lake Pleasant outside Phoenix, AZ? My DH has a job around that area. He (we) would love to be able to fish after work.

You can also use the Campground search to search for cities with campgrounds within x miles of a city.

We stayed there in Nov. with our PUP. We had plenty of room on the space. It has a covered ramada picinic table and a grill/fire pit. We are in NO BURN DAYS so no charcoal or open fires. Bring a gas grill. We are going next week up there for daughters graduation party/trip in our new HTT Here is is the parks web site http://maricopa.com/parks/lake%5Fpleasant/ Click on camping. Here is Pleasant Harbous web address. depending on the size of your rig, it's from $30-$37 a night. http://pleasantharbor.com
Just returned last night from Lake Pleasant. It was real nice. Had a spot over looking the lake. A short walk down the hill to the lake where the kids and dogs played. If you have a small boat, you can get a site ( when it's open) that you can park your boat almost right near your rv site( off Desert Tortoise Rd.). Two warnings. Some of the sites have electric on the normal side BUT your water is on your door side. Make sure you have a long fresh water hose.( we just made it and we were 18ft wide) Second, some sites are really off level. Make sure you have the items needed to level. We stayed in Space 134. It was one of the rare pull-throughs. Only had to use a board( small) on our right front jack. Went to Pleasant Harbor Marina/Rv. ( friends rented a boat through them). Saw their RV sites. Looked level but it's out in the hot sun. So trees, no nothing and not close at all to the lake( needed trees this past weekend when it was 115 on Sunday). Have fun
