We are heading out this weekend towards Niagra Falls and have found these two campgrounds to be in the half way point, both in Verona, NY. Anyone have any experience with either of these? If you have been to both, which do you recommend? Thanks, this site is so helpful! One is Peaceful Pines and the other is The Village of the Turning Stone. We have a 25' fifth wheel and this will be our third trip out in it, so we are really novices in the camping world.
Hi, Just returned from the Villages at Turning Stone and this is a beautiful, well run CG. The sites are well laid out - each has a concrete pad - and the grounds are in excellent shape. They can handle any size rig and of course there is always the shuttle bus to take you to and from the casino. Even if you have no interest in the casino, you will enjoy this CG.
Stay at the Turning Stone CG for the reasons previously given, I think the other one was a KOA previously (not sure) but if so I stayed there and it was not as nice at the TS.
We are currently staying at the Turning Stone resort in Verona. It is an absolute 10 and we highly recommend it!
Thanks for all the advice. Unfortunately Turning Stone has no sites available until Sunday but we will stay there on our return trip home. Thanks again!
We have stayed in there Casino parking lot many times . If Rv park is full and you need a over nighter thats the place.its dry no hookups but its free & there is a shutle bus will take you back & forth from the casino.
