We are planning on going on a Disney Cruise with our daughter/grandkids at this time. We are leaving from Louisiana. Looking to bring the camper down with us and make an extended vacation. We are looking to break the trip up so the drive will not be so long. Tentatively looking at stopping at Live Oak, Florida at Suwannee Park then on to Key West. We're looking at staying at Boyd's campground but have read different reviews on this campground. Any other suggestions on places we might stay at along our way to Key West? We would like to drive only 8 hours a day, if possible. Also, what about a place to stay in Port Canaveral where we will be staying the day before the cruise that is safe enough to leave our camper unattended? Basically, just looking for alternative stop - overs. Thanks for any help!!

We were there in Feb, 2 years ago, and it was $135.oo/nite ! However when we said we wanted to leave, they actually gave us a refund. Nice people, bad spot. Also, this time of year may be OK, but in the winter IT IS FULL ! Robbie
Cape Cananeral stay at Jetty Park. Short walk across the dones to the beach, nice jetty to walk out on and watch the cruise ships come and go and if your really lucky you may get to see and hear either a Shuttle launch from KSC or unmanned lauch from the Air Force side. Also, several good restaurants in Port Cananeral about half mile away.
blue water key. it's about 7 miles north of key west. have not been there. check out their web site. it looks like a great place. pricey though.
We live in FL and have stayed at Sugarloaf KOA on a couple occassions. Great place to go. Usually has some sort of entertainment. (Call ahead) for details. Mile marker 23 and fairly close to Key West to drive in. We tow Jeep behind our Class A.

The problem is that the crackers beside us have an open fire, and management refuses to ask them to put the fire out. I love my family, and will ask for a refund tomorrow.
