So its a little slow here, so thought park owners might find this interesting... https://www.rvtravel.com/state-laws-legislation-aim-frivolous-campground-lawsuits-1043b/
Good article. But sadly, you just can't fix stupid. " From the news story :Campgrounds have seen campground lawsuits for bee stings, campfire burns, illness from outdoor exposure, and wild animal encounters." It's pretty sad that legislation is needed to curb stuff like this. Darrell
IMHO every state should pass laws to protect RV parks and campgrounds from various frivolous lawsuits such as those and more than were mentioned. In our travels we have witnessed several "stupid" campers doing "stupid":things that ended up with someone getting injured and then trying to blame the campground. One time several kids and a couple of fathers were racing around and thru the campground on bicycles and one of the fathers lost control and got tossed off and into a vehicle breaking a leg. An ambulance was called and he was taken to the local hospital. We heard later that he was blaming the RV park due to where the vehicle was parked....in a designate vehicle parking area!!!. We never did find out how it ended up. It is certainly true,"you can't fix or cure stupid" and that unfortunately includes some RVers and campers........... BankShot..........(aka Terry)
