Browsing the web it appears many dealers are doing year-end discounts in the 30% range. One camper I was watching in my RV Trader weekly email has gone from 20% to 30% to "make an offer." Now I'm wondering, what is the typical mark-up on a travel trailer?
Have never seen any rv dealer sales folks ever say what the real markup is but since they are now to make an offer, and that is a trailer your interested in, start low. The more realistic your offer the more likely they will talk seriously. The last travel trailer we bought we hit them 2 grand under their sales price, we ended up splitting that offer and we got a nice new trailer at the time we thought a decent deal. It was a out right buy and no trade and we had the cash, so quick and easy.
