I am looking for recommendations for RV parks in the Ruidoso NM area. I have read all the reviews but I still can't tell which would be the best place to stay the rest of Sept and Oct? :blink: We have a 40ft 50Amp with toad and will need a place with good Wi-fi and a quiet atmosphere. We just went full time two years ago and are still finding our favorite seasonal spots. We are leaving Sky Mountain in Chama NM and LOVED it here. If anyone has any suggestions for the Ruidoso area or a favorite spot anywhere that we should check out next year we would be grateful.
We're partial to the Twin Spruce Rv Park. Some of the sites up the hill are hard to maneuver for big rigs, but they are big-rig-friendly sites available on the street level. It is close to the Inn of the Mountain Gods and a smaller casino is just down the road. Check with the office about getting your RV up to the hill sites as it is quieter and less crowded on the hill. But the street-level sites aren't bad either. Twin Spruce RV Park If you don't mind being further out the Little Creek is also nice, but we prefer Twin Spruce because it's closer to everything. Little Creek The Twin Spruce WiFi was reliable on our last trip in July. They were some intermittent problems the last time we stayed there in the previous year but not on this trip (one week). You're welcome, both parks are pet friendly with plenty of space for walking so no worries there. Little Creek may be more quiet as it is on a road less traveled. Be sure to check out the Casa Blanca, Cafe Rio, and the Village Buttery (lunch) spots. Speaking of the road less-traveled you might want to check out Alpine, Texas. It is a nice little town with a good RV park called Lost Alaskan to the north of town. The star parties at the McDonald observatory are very fun and of course the Marfa lights are also fun to check out. A very quiet and relaxing place.
